about
asaph
"Asaph is a tool for Christian music groups and
worship leaders for
managing song databases. Features include song searching, printing song
lead sheets with or without chord markings, and generating
presentations for use in group worship. It is open-source and written
in Java, so it should run on most common platforms, including Mac OS X,
Linux, Windows, and Solaris."
what it does
Asaph manages lyrics with corresponding chords in
a database. Asaph
transposes easily and allows for preset transposition points. Font
types and sizes can be changed without affecting song accuracy.
what it doesn't do
Asaph does not do tabs
(tablature)
or notes on a staff. Asaph will not
play back music nor store music samples. For an excellent (and free)
Tab software package, download
the Power Tab Editor
and visit the
corresponding resource page.

about
this site
Asaph is free software that is the best for lyric
management I've ever
seen. It is a secret too well kept. This is the place for support. And
that support means downloads, tutorials and a shiny new forum.
This is a personal project - a way to say: "Thanks!" to Mr. Azuma and
to the OpenSource community at large. It's a non-profit, personal project with no ads.
about the tutorials
I'm never satisifed with the tutorials. This is
good. Because they are
always being improved and added upon. If your not satisfied with a
particular tutorial - make your comments known! Use the new forum.
before we start
